18 companies backed by the European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot and working in the fields of electric mobility, connected transportation, and intelligent supply chains explore business opportunities with MAN Truck & Bus. OneWatt was one of the companies selected to pitch and engage in in-depth discussions with MAN representatives in Munich.

85 companies applied to take part in a business acceleration event with MAN Truck & Bus in Munich. 18 of them were selected to present their ideas in front of 150 leading MAN employees and Group partners. Travelling from the 12 different countries, the participants showcased ideas, prototypes, and products ranging from electric trucks to cargo bikes. OneWatt shared a glimpse of how effective predictive maintenance can be. Backed by IoT and machine learning technology, its Embedded Acoustic Recognition Sensors (EARS) can detect when and where a problem will arise in industrial motors.

Florian Stehbeck, Digital Innovation Manager and responsible for startup collaboration at MAN Truck & Bus, talked about the motivations behind the event: “We’re looking partners who are active in our core businesses. The production of hardware components, sales applications and engineering tools. But we’re also looking for “out of the box” approaches and new challenges.” Other MAN representatives also expressed the ambition to continue shaping the mobility and logistics industry by partnering with European entrepreneurs who share the vision of a more sustainable mobility future.

Our CEO Emmanuel Bueta presenting his pitch.

“OneWatt is very honored to have participated in this event promoted by EIC pilot wherein different companies were given the chance to present their ideas and products to an audience on the same journey as us. We believe that the solutions we offer can pave the way for partnerships with other companies, especially with MAN Truck & Bus. We believe that building relationships with key business players can help us scale-up our company and be more competitive in the global market”
